Chicken has the characteristics of fast growth and metabolism and strong metabolism. Chicks are chicks that indicate the time of the shell to 42 days of age. The body temperature regulation ability is poor and the digestive system is not yet developed. Therefore, the disease resistance is low, the timidity is easily frightened, and the self-defense ability is poor. Therefore, when raising chicks, you should be especially careful not to be sloppy.
First, preparation before entering the chicken
The brooding room should be cleaned and disinfected one week before entering the chicks. The whole brooding room should be fumigated with formaldehyde (40 ml/m3) and potassium permanganate (20 g/m3) for 24 hours, and the ground wall should be reused for 1%. -3% hot water spray disinfection. The brooding cage is usually used for brooding, so the chick cage is installed before fumigation. Preheating is carried out on the first day of entering the chicks to ensure that the indoor temperature reaches 33 °C when the chickens come, and the feed tank, the drinker, the light bulb for lighting, etc. are prepared.
Second, the management after the chick
1, drinking water
After the chicks enter the brooding room, they must first drink water (warm water) and then start eating. The egg yolk of the chicks that have been shelled has not been completely absorbed. This nutrient takes 3-5 days to be absorbed. This is very important for the growth and development of the chicks. The water consumption of the chicks can accelerate their absorption and utilization. Conditionally, a small amount of glucose or vitamin C can be added to the drinking water, which can alleviate the stress caused by changes in environmental conditions such as 37.8 ° C to 33 ° C, supplement the balance of water metabolism in the body, and prevent dehydration. The sink should be adequate to ensure that each chick can drink enough water.
The chicks in the week have poor feeding ability, and can use the feed trough without sprinkling. The feed can be sprinkled on the shallow tray or plastic cloth to allow the chicks to eat freely, to ensure the size can be eaten, and the trough is changed after one week. Still free to eat. The grain size of the feed should be moderate, nutrient-rich (the crude protein content is about 24%), and easy to digest. (Generally feeding dedicated chicken feed)
At the beginning of the chicking, the temperature of the chick house is controlled at 33 °C-34 °C. As the age of the chicken increases, the brooding temperature also decreases, generally decreasing by 2 °C per week until it drops to 20 °C. Room temperature.
The temperature is too high, the chicks are scattered, the mouth is breathing, the temperature is too low, the chicks are piled up and pressed, generally the daytime temperature should be low, the nighttime should be high, the cloudy day should be high, and the sunny day should be low.
The brooding house has high humidity, is prone to coccidiosis, colibacillosis, fungal diseases, etc. The humidity is low, the chicks are easy to dehydrate and lose weight, affecting appetite, dust flying, causing respiratory diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to control the humidity of the chick house. 0-10 days old, the humidity is controlled at 70%-75%, 11-20 days old, controlled at 65%-70%, and later controlled at 55%-60%. The house should be ventilated and ventilated to remove harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, keeping the air inside the house fresh.
The 1-3 days of continuous feeding is continuously illuminated for 24 hours (15-30 lux), so that the chicks are familiar with the environment and learn to eat and drink. Use 11-15 hours of constant illumination later.
6, feeding density and breakage
Starting the first week, 45-55 chicks per square meter, 30-40 per square meter in the second week, 20-30 per square meter in the third week, and 20 per square meter in the fourth week to the end of the brooding. Broken chicks are usually performed at 10 days of age, with a sputum sputum, 1/2 of the upper jaw, and 1/3 of the lower jaw, which prevents the licking of the anus. It should be noted that 1 to 2 days before the sputum and 1 to 2 days after the sputum should be added with 2 to 4 mg of vitamin K per kilogram of feed in the feed to prevent bleeding, and the work of breaking the sputum should be completed in the shortest time. In the next 3 days, the trough and sink should be filled to help the chicks feed.
7. Immunization of chicks should be carried out according to immunization procedures and immunization methods. I won't say it here.
