When using a nipple drinking system, the height of the nipple should be adjusted frequently.
A general principle is to adjust the height of the nipple every two days before two weeks and the height of the nipple every day after two weeks. For 1 day old chicks, the height of the lower edge of the nipple should be level with the eye of the chicken, and the nipple will continue to increase.
If the breeding is a broiler breeder, the height of the nipple should be different.
The following list shows the approximate height of the nipple in the case of broiler feeding.
|Chicken age (days)||1-7||8-14||More than 15 days|
|Display tube water level height (mm)||100-150||150-200||25-400|
Note: After the second week, the water pressure in the drinking water pipe (showing the height of the water column in the pipe) should be kept as high as possible without causing wet manure, in order to obtain the maximum weight gain of the chicken.
